Please start the LiveZilla Server Admin. Select Link Generator and continue. Follow the wizard until you reach the Link Generator form.
While the Link Generator offers you several different configurations, in most cases you don't need to set up much. You can choose from 5 integration Elements:
The Graphic Chat Button allows your website visitors to initiate a Live Chat. You can choose from more than 20 different Live Chat Icons or use your own set of images to attract your website visitors attention. The Graphic Chat Button is an inline element.
The following configurations can be made:
Script Type
Javascript (recommended) The Live Chat Window will open using a javascript functionality. This requires the website visitor to have javascript activated in his browser. The size of the Live Chat Window can be set under LiveZilla Server Admin -> Server Configuration -> Web Client -> Edit HTML -> Window.
HTML The Live Chat Window will open using a common HTML link, usually in full-screen mode. It's not possible to specify a size for the window.
Doctype For full functionality of LiveZilla, it is important to the select Doctype matching the Doctype of your website. If you don't know the Doctype of your website, please have a look at your websites source code. The doctype is specified in the first line.
Icons Press the Change button to select the images you like to use with this chat button.
Add Visitor Monitoring Script The visitor monitoring script allows you to monitor your website visitors in real-time.
The Floating Button allows your website visitors to initiate a Live Chat. You can choose from more than 10 different Live Chat Icons or use your own set of images to attract your website visitors attention. The Floating Button is an overlay element, that stays in position when scrolling down.
The following configurations can be made:
Doctype For full functionality of LiveZilla, it is important to the select the Doctype matching the Doctype of your website. If you don't know the Doctype of your website, please have a look at your websites source code. The doctype is specified in the first line.
Margin Defines the distance (in px) to the border of the browser window.
Shadow Adds a shadow to your Floating Button. Please note that not all browsers do support this feature.
Position Defines the position of the Floating Button.
Icons Press the Change button to select the images you like to use with this chat button.
Online only The Floating Button will only be shown, when one or more operators are available.
It is also possible to use decent Text links. Text Link is an inline element.
The following configurations can be made:

Online Text The text displayed when operators are available.
Offline Text The text displayed when no operators are available.
Online CSS The CSS definition used when operators are available. This setting is optional. Example: font-size:12px;font-family:verdana,arial.

Online only The Text Link will only be shown, when one or more operators are available.
If you don't want to offer chats but want to monitor your website visitors, this is what you need.

The URL Builder provides you with Chat Link URLs you can use in Emails, Auctions, Software Applications or wherever you like to offer access to your LiveZilla Chat System.

When all configurations are made please press the Copy to clipboard button.
Integration part 2: How to integrate the Code
Please paste the code snippet of the Live Chat Button / Visitor Monitoring HTML script into your web page source code and upload the updated page to your web server. The code must always be placed inside of the body tag.
